Star Family Restaurant

Everything was fantastic. I ordered a French dip and got a crock of French onion soup. It reminded me of Ollie's French onion when it was still good. The French dip was nice amd hot with thich strips of beef. My only complaint is the aju dip wasn't great. I used my soup to dip in. My husband got a seafood platter that was amazing! The crab cakes were so full of meat and not filler! Both of us left very full.

We went there for breakfast and two ordered omelets (western and garden) and one ultimate French toast. All had coffee. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The inlets were a bit bland but the ultimate French toast was really good. Prices were competitive. Overall, a good solid breakfast spot. Note that there is a 2.5% charge on credit purchases (if that is important to you).

Delicious food for a great cost! Large portion sizes and quality food. Definitely worth a visit! I ordered the Farmers special and received 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 pancakes, and home fries for $12. The home fries were very good and had a unique texture. We also ordered the meat lovers omelette which did not disappoint.

Finally made my first trip to Star Family Restaurant! I'm glad to see a new restaurant in town. The food was delicious. I got one of their broiled seafood platters, flounder, scallops, shrimp, and crab cake. And it was excellent for seafood in Pennsylvania, that is. Lol, mind you, I'm very used to eating fish and seafood caught on the same day.. Kids got chicken fingers and French fries, which came with ice cream. Another person with us got macaroni and cheese with pork barbecue on top, which was also very good, they said. The price was unbeatable, and I saw many things I wanted to return and try again on the menu!

The day we visited, it was not really cold outside, and the atmosphere was comfortable, BUT the eating area is heated with propane heaters. Our food included a House Burger with FF and the burger was made as requested, plus the FF tasted fresh and had a nice flavor. The Chicken soup was good and the grilled chicken was made as requested. We ordered fresh coffee and our waitress (Jolinda) made a fresh pot. She was attentive to our needs even though it was busy. Thank-you!
