🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 MUST-VISIT ALERT! 🍩☕ If you’re in Lake Tahoe and you haven’t been to Sugar Pine Cakery & Café, you’re seriously missing out on one of Tahoe’s best-kept, most delicious secrets! 🍪🎂 Nestled just outside Tahoe City, this spot is a true hidden gem—not just for the pastries but for the incredible service too. 🚀 Gracie was absolutely fantastic—welcoming us with a warm smile and world-class knowledge about everything they serve! 🌞💛 🔥 What we tried & LOVED: ☕ Drip Coffee—For the price? A steal. Super strong, bold, and flavorful. Reminds me of Seattle’s Best but has its own Tahoe twist—possibly from a local roaster like Honey Sunrise Coffee. 🐝🌄 🍪 Chocolate Chocolate Chip Butter Cookie—Rich. Buttery. Decadent. 🤤💯 🍩 Super Stacked Chocolate Donut—Topped with coarse salt for that perfect sweet
Great hidden gem in Tahoe City. Delicious pastries, friendly service, and the orange morning bun is a favorite. Perfect spot for to-go treats.
A very popular pick for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Limited parking spaces and limited chairs on the spot. Most people stop by for a takeaway but it was quite a long wait, at least 15mins for us. So if you are in a hurry, I would recommend you reserve some buffer time there. I really enjoyed their pastries, especially the mixed berries scone I got!
I got a large coffee and a coffee cake for myself, and a plain, almond, and chocolate croissant for the fam. I also got an Almond Claw and all of the kids really enjoyed them all. The almond meal is delicious and well balanced. The chocolate had a good rich flavor. The coffee cake wasn’t dry and even had good crunch to it. Over all, the experience and people were friendly and helpful. The wait was fine as they are having one party at a time and since it’s a bit of a small space I rather appreciated that. Coffee wasn’t acidic or overly earthy. I enjoyed the roast. I would get it again. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying all the breakfast out! I’d highly recommend coming to them. Their cakes looked amazing too.
Bought a bunch of donuts to try them out. The donuts were ok, way overloaded with sugary glaze, except for the cider donuts. They were completely raw. If you want to charge $4 per donut, you gotta do a better job.
