Sunset Beach Hotel

The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the atmosphere was truly beautiful, it had so much potential to be a great night out. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. Our waiter was arrogant, dismissive, and made us feel unwelcome from the start. Instead of enhancing the evening, he brought the mood down with his attitude, which left a really bad impression. It’s a shame because the kitchen and ambiance clearly deliver, but when the front-of-house service is this poor, it overshadows everything else. Good food can’t make up for being treated poorly. I hope the restaurant addresses this, because no guest should feel uncomfortable or belittled when dining out.

Drinks are tasty but very expensive. $25 minimum. At one point we waited ten minutes at the bar because the bartender was downstairs (he was very nice) The bees are outrageous and I watched a bar back pour wine back into the bottle after the incorrect order was made .

Reviewing the restaurant. The view far outshines the service and the food is solid but pricey just like the clientele. Grabbed some small bites late afternoon. The cocktails were fine, the ceviche was fresh. Artichoke was steamed but not anything special. Soft shell crab was crisp and well seasoned. $24 for 3 sliced peaches, sprayed with canned whipped cream. Just Sign the check, don’t look at it!

Staying at Sunset Beach is like stepping back in time through a portal to the South of France. The 20 room property is just big enough to make you want to stay put, no matter how many nights you booked your stay for. ||The spotless rooms, complete with private balconies, are designed with simple, comfortable “beach shack” vibes. ||The restaurant, bar & boutique remain the place “to be & be seen”. Food & drinks are delcious and the crowd is timeless… no matter the age group or attire (Chanel to sandy flip flops). ||During the day, guests are provided with complimentary euro loungers & umbrellas…. no worries about waking up early to grab a decent spot. The boutique is an eclectic mix of beach wear for women, men & kids. This year, I especially loved the addition of St. Bart’s Madame Ho

Absolutely amazing experience! The oysters were fresh and delicious, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the drinks were spot on. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, with a stunning view that made the evening even more special. Excellent service. Highly recommend!
