The Brown Bag Deli

LOVE Brown Bag, it's such a landmark place in Monticello. My absolute favorite menu item is the Honey Turkey Club. YUM. Do yourself a favor and go get some homemade goodness in Monticello.

First time today. The entree was really good and they have a lot of choices. The desserts are another subject. They have quite an extensive choice for dessert and they all look exceptional. I had the peanut butter brownie and my wife had the coconut cream pie. Both were delicious. The have a special on 03/14 (Pi day). Prices are $3.14/slice and at least fifteen (15) different pies to choose from.

Another fantastic lunch at The Brown Bag! We eat here whenever we’re in Monticello. Today’s special was a whole fresh tomato with a scoop of chicken salad on a bed of lettuce. The tomato was super tasty, fresh and ripe, the best I’ve had all year!

Food was good and fresh, but croissant option wasn't offered but now I know for next time. Subs are standard 6" only. Though the sandwiches were good and fresh ingredients, a little higher priced for the portion size (perfect if 8" or bigger). The Italian subs with Italian and balsamic vinaigrette was excellent. Added the peppers to enhance the flavors. The turkey club sub was good, but the cheese seemed more than meat. The meat portion was comparable to subway not compared to other delis. The grilled cheese (toastie) was very good size for a kids meal with and perfect balance of melted cheese. The desert options were amazing and looked delicious and good variety. Drink we got was the half lemonade half iced tea. Very good. Restrooms were very clean and spacious. Seating area was enormous

I’m a frequent flyer at the Brown Bag! This establishment has been a staple in Piatt County for many years. Every time I visit I am greeted with a smile and timely service. My favorite menu item is the Honeyberry Rollup. I highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of cranberry! Delish! Give em a try!
