The Hedges

Barbara is the perfect host! The Cottage was very comfortable for 3, very clean and the well equipped kitchen was a bonus. The home’s back gardens are lovely and the patio is the perfect spot for coffee and Barbara’s wonderful banana bread. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood — very close to Hamilton College for our visit and to the town of Clinton with a few shops and restaurants. Easy drive to Utica’s restaurants as well. Barbara’s recommendations for local places to eat, from casual to fine dining, and things to do in the area make you feel like a welcome guest to her home.

My daughter and I stayed at The Hedges for two nights while visiting Hamilton College. Our room was lovely and breakfast was healthy and delicious! Barbara was a wonderful hostess and treated us like family. She was also very helpful with suggesting a yummy lunch place in town called The Dessert Booth. Location is perfect, just off Campus rd and a short distance from town and the college. It was really cold, otherwise, we could have walked everywhere. Thank you Barbara for a wonderful stay!!

I stayed here last week with my friend. We loved it. Barb, our hostess was very warm and welcoming. It was like staying with an old friend. We stayed on the first floor in a huge mini- apartment with bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. The grounds are beautiful and in warm weather it would be lovely to sit outside. We would definitely book The Hedges again.

We were greeted upon arrival by our host Barbara. She is very charming. Her home and guest quarters are very quaint. A spacious living room with antiques, books and artifacts - kitchen, bedroom and bath with access to a beautiful and serene back yard where you can have coffee and see squirrels playing, bunnies hopping and a chipmunk exploring. Barbara provided lots of goodies including deviled eggs, croissants, half and half, orange juice, mandarins and homemade jam. The place was spotless and we had everything we needed.

We stayed here while visiting Hamilton College nearby. The Hedges offers lovely and spacious accommodations. At least 1 suite has a full kitchen. Barbara is a great host. Great breakfast too. The B&B is within easy walking distance to the town of Clinton.
