The Mayor Meats

I recently went to the mayor, and it was so good! I am generally not a huge sausage person but oh my goodness are there’s good. The atmosphere was cute and vintage feeling while everything had an updated twist to it. This staff was lovely in the food came out quickly. I will definitely be coming back.

We went into this restaurant because we saw a big hanging hotdog sign outside, which was like super good because we were hungry just walking on the street looking for something so we popped in and I was super excited because I’ve had mayor meats before at the Quirk hotel, so I knew it would be even better from the OG source and it like totally was so And everyone was very kind and accommodating and the meals were perfect. I went there during brunch time, but couldn’t help but get a chili dog. Duh. Wish there was bottled aoli. I would drink that if I could. I’m obsessed. I also like their range of beverages and wine. Slay alert. We will be back.

I swear I left a review already--my 1st time here I had a Kimchi Dog and it was the best hot dog I have ever had. The bun was homemade, toasted, buttered, fluffy and carries a great tasting hot dog w scallions, kimchi, and mayo. Now I stumbled in from the snow and didn't even know it was happy hour. Nice vibe, great music, pretty atmosphere w a delhi-bar-dine-in setup. I had a Scotch egg and cutting egg I got exactly what I wanted--beautiful yolky yumminess and some pickled onions and grain mustard to cut through the fat. I was simply killing time to meet friends across the street, but I then ordered the Pastrami Pork Ribs and Cumin rubbed carrots to go as it was hard to resist this chef-driven foodie level food--and yeah, I'll be spirtin my to-go walkin into another restaurant. Great place! First time dining at this establishment and will definitely be back. We ordered the Gumbo, andouille po’boy and the fries with garlic aioli. Gumbo was amazing and light. Had some chicken thighs in it and had the right amount of spice. The andouille po’boy was amazing. Not too much filling and the sausage was fresh and flavorful. The fries were spectacular! Crispy on the outside and had just the right amount of salt. The aioli was good and not too garlicky. If you find yourself in this area. 10/10 recommend to a friend. Will be back!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and had great service. We ordered the chili dog and frittata - both were very good. The frittata was huge! Also got an iced coffee which was good. Was actually hoping to try one of their sandwiches but they don’t switch the menu over until 330pm so keep that in mind
