The Mermaid Cafe at Riverview

Thank you Mermaid care for an outstanding experience for my mother and me! The food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the beignets and any type of waffle. The breakfast selections were perfect, and we loved the option to choose our own flight combinations. We were thrilled to try the Dole Whip mimosas..what a treat! Our server, Jules, was a delight, providing excellent service throughout our visit. A special thank you to Jim, the owner, for making our first experience truly memorable. I cannot say enough positive things about the Mermaid Café! It has been my girlfriend and I’s breakfast spot for two years once a week! The doll whip mimosas are fantastic. You can only find them here! You can find delicious Nola level beignets at the spot! The service is fantastic. The food is delicious and they have wide variety menu items. Try the seasonal mimosas and the award-winning cookies! So amazing!

Service was fabulous, along with a lovely conversation with the owner Jim. To go with the service was even better food. Dole whipped mimosas to start with the best beignets outside of New Orleans for the table. Both the breakfast and lunch menus have no bad options, and my group is excited to keep coming back until we’ve tried them all!

What a cool little spot. We went for brunch while visiting NSB. I got a Dole Whip prosecco drink and it was so good! My husband has a pineapple mimosa that was very tasty. We ordered some beignets because um, why wouldn’t you?! They were warm and so yummy. My husband got a breakfast burrito and he said it was good but not great. He said next time he would order something else. I got the Island Wrap and it was great. Super tasty. Worth a stop in if you are in the area.

This is the best place I have been to in a very long time. Jim, the owner is so friendly and kind. The food speaks for itself, everything they have is amazing. Waitress was excellent, cute restaurant with friendly staff that pay attention to detail in every way. We will be back.
