The Penguin Hotel

A great stop. A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. It’s a home town bar but so much more. The menu is loaded with surprises. Rotating apps, specials and mixed drink each month. Atmosphere is relaxed, kinda small place but makes it cozy, relaxed and welcoming. We’ll be stopping in here for more for sure. Great wings!

This is a true hidden gem. It's rustic and clearly a favorite for the locals, so I hate to share it, but it's exactly the kind of place I look for whenever I travel. It's a bit tight on space, but the staff did a great job of accommodating our surprise group of eight (without a reservation on a Thursday night - thank you!) and was friendly, prompt and kept the orders and billing straight. Everyone was very satisfied with the meal, and the Americana Pork Nachos were fabulous. Didn't skimp on toppings, and the chips were crunchy down to the Last bite. Will definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

We can’t say enough good things about this amazing place! The food was to die for! Our waitress (the manager) was so kind and we enjoyed conversations with her. The locals made us feel right at home! It was like we were their family! We would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Good place for food and drinks. They seemed to be set up and ready to go for karaoke nights too! Food was very good for a pub. Service was friendly. Waitress was great and runner was still learning it appeared. Interior is nice. Crowd was older but very nice and welcoming. Thank you! Will be back.

Very nice place, great food, a hidden gem. You will meet friendly staff and friendly locals. While there the bartender greeted everyone by name...yes a very nice local bar. The food is amazing, and this was a new one for me, a grilled cheese, so wgats so special? Glad you asked, local rye bread, brie, raspberry jelly and bacon...yes its great, very unique. The Roastbeef is amazing as well great food, great atmosphere, great staff cant go wrong here...you are welcomed and dont want to keave.
