I can not give enough appreciation for CPD. The responsiveness is very efficient. Contact has Always been Curtious with professional respect. Everyone, all officers that have responded to my address (my mom's) are always better then expected for any occurrence. Today was a welfare check, and i have witnessed nothing but Outstanding!! Communication, Understanding and Compassion and Purpose. Thank you Colonie Police Department. 2/16. Today 4pm. Call.

I witnessed someone littering right in front of my residence and reported it, providing the plate number and all details. The officer who called me back asked what I wanted done—as if littering isn’t against the law. They said they’d just pick it up and throw it out (which I had already done). I can’t help but wonder if they’d be so casual about it if it happened in front of their own home.

Always seen this patrol car around the Albany area probably trying to solve a CPD case "lost my mind ever since they took"

They are absolutely terrible. In the late 2010s, they never question why I get single out by the entire town. And completely, acted like all of my issues are meaningless. However, they will 100% believed in liars with no evidence to backup their allegations at all in hopes I get in trouble. So, they are deserving of a one star.

Just wanted to thank the amazing Colonie PD in helping find my German Shepard this evening. Posted it in fb my puppy broke her collar and got loose. A little over an hour of looking for her, when I called cpd they were flowing her. Again thank you to such an amazing group of officers. 👍😊
