We've been seeing post about this new place all over Facebook, so we decided to check it out. The service was friendly and we received our food in a timely manner but had some miscommunication with our order (we were given 2 orders of sausage when we only purchased one & waited a bit for our drinks after the meal). The food overall was decent in flavor for the price: pho, hmong sausage & sticky rice, & papaya (not pictured- we got steam rolls, 2 eggrolls- which unfortunately sat for a while and had soaked up oil, the steamed fish, Nabvam, & a mangonada). I personally think the papaya had too much hint of crab to my taste and liking but it was still flavorful. Nothing really stood out for us except the mangonada which was really good, but it is a nice spacious place for decent food.
First time here at the new place, although I've been a fan of the owner's papaya since the Phonsavong days. Papaya was on point as I remembered, and just coming here for that alone is worth the trip. Pork belly & sticky rice was also good, although I wished the pork rind was just a little more crispy. Na vam was very good along with the mango boba. Lastly, the Pho was good, but I still prefer Pho Viet & Hmong Fusion for the time being. One thing that owner should look into is serving water for the people dining in. You'll need to BYOW(Bring your own water) or buy water while dining in. Overall, I will be coming back especially for the papaya.
This place is absolutely delicious. I tried the Thai Style Papaya salad...so flavorful. I definitely will be a regular since its close to my job. Always clean and the staff is so friendly
I waited an hour for half pound pork belly, M size sausage, and a small rice. Came home to wrong size food. The pork belly is so overdone, its unedible.
Hands down, BEST papaya in Milwaukee. The larb could definitely use more flavoring. I thought the quarter chicken leg was a bit pricey considering it doesn’t include rice like other places. Atmosphere wise, clean but I don’t think I would enjoy eating inside due to the coldness. Waited at least 25-27 mins for 3 items and my feet were frozen. Yes, it was that cold. Overall, it was decent.
