Asheville Public Works & Development Services Department

I can't believe that there's only three reviews at this point in time about our wonderful sanitation department. I'm a facilities manager at a medium sized Church and also a homeowner in the city of Asheville. Each time I have a question or concern they are quick to respond an address my concern. I am always surprised at how much I feel like the Super Service is above and beyond what I would expect from the government. I just want to thank the people that run that Division and the people that hire them to run that division they are doing a great job. And certainly give kudos to the people in the field that make this happen. The Street Division (shout out to Lee Morrison) was very responsive when I tripped on the uneven sidewalk of Schenk Parkway. I marked several slabs with issues and the city ground them down to an even tread and will be replacing some of the larger slabs. I am very impressed! Thank you!

Very impressed with the speed of service in swapping a residential trash can. 3 days!
