Balloon Glow

The Great Forest Park Balloon Glow was such an incredible experience! The atmosphere was magical, glowing balloons lighting up the night sky, music, good food, and great company. It’s one of those events that really captures the beauty and spirit of St. Louis. Definitely something everyone should experience at least once! A few tips if you plan on going: definitely arrive early because parking fills up fast, bring a blanket or lawn chairs to relax on, and wear comfy shoes since there’s quite a bit of walking. I’d also recommend staying until it’s fully dark that’s when the glow really comes to life. Overall, it’s one of those must see St. Louis events that makes you fall in love with the city all over again

Really beautiful. Had a wonderful time but the walk. WHEW! You gotta get your people there EARLY cos the traffic and the walk will take it out of you. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blankets. Bring your own snacks and water if you plan on hanging out there for a while and don't want to spend money on the food trucks.

Great experience, felt safe walking around Forest Park at night. Lots of people enjoying themselves. Great moment.

Get there early, so you can get a good spot if you decide to lay down a blanket! Also for good parking. We got there and hour before sunset, so we were able to find parking about 5 minutes away from the ballon’s. Fun, free (minus the vendors) experience for the entire family. I didn’t see any dogs while I was there, but I saw parents with children in strollers. You’re able to get pretty close to the hot air balloons. Some people were able to ride a couple of hundred feet in the air! Perfect event for photographers and lovers of art!

It was a beautiful sight to see the balloons light up. We were able to get close to the balloons as well. The DJ was entertaining. This is definitely a family friendly event. There were plenty of food trucks there. Definitely plan to arrive early for the sake of parking. We drove around for a while looking for a parking spot. Unfortunately we DID NOT arrive early.
