Behr House Bed and Breakfast

We had a wonderful 3-nights’ stay at Behr House in Fredericksburg, Texas where our new home is being built. Our hosts Shelley and Jim were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The historic Caroline suite in the original main building was beautifully decorated by Shelley, comfortable, quiet, and impeccably clean. The bathroom is modern, well lit, and luxurious. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay with delicious and fresh options prepared daily by our hosts. We still recall the taste of the fresh mint from Shelley’s garden. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby downtown and the many wineries in the region. The B&B had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The absolute best place to stay for a romantic getaway in Fredericksburg! The Behr house had delicious breakfasts and coffee. The common areas were comfortable and included a fireplace inside as well as two fire pits outside, along with a large patio, water feature and a lovely view of the hill country at sunset. The room we stayed in was perfectly clean and included everything we needed for a great night's sleep. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and accommodating. The drive from the B&B to main street was only about 8 minutes. Just a perfect stay!

Behr House was the perfect setting for our 20th wedding anniversary stay and first trip to Fredericksburg. The Caroline Suite blends European château elegance with Texas Hill Country warmth in a way that feels natural and inviting. Cowboy hats and champagne somehow both feel at home here. The decor is thoughtful and refined both inside and out. From the warm welcome to the relaxed, gracious breakfasts, everything is done with subtlety and care. One phrase displayed in the home stayed with us: “A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset.” That sentiment perfectly reflects how our stay unfolded. We left rested, grateful, and already nostalgic. Highly recommended.

Booked the Caroline's Suite for a weekend get away and it was lovely. The hosts had everything prepared when we arrived they gave tremendous local food and entertainment recommendations. Both mornings we woke up to hot coffee followed by an amazing breakfast. The breakfast had a fun spin on traditional dishes with great variety. This was an amazing way to have my first Fredericksburg experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area!

Everything about Behr House was Beyond Excellent! The grounds are beautiful, the entire House is immaculate and very warm and welcoming! Our Host, Shelley, was off the charts helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS! The location is just outside of town which means easy access but without noise and congestion of tourists visiting the town. If I could give a higher rating I would because Behr House and our Host are deserving of the best possible review!
