Big Splash Grill

The menu is mostly made up of burgers, hotdogs, pizza, and fried foods—classic theme park fare, but not very exciting. My daughter ordered the poutine for $16. The portion size was generous, but unfortunately, the fries were soggy and covered in cold gravy. We didn’t finish it, and honestly, we didn’t want to. I ordered a smokie with sauerkraut and onions. The sauerkraut was surprisingly good, but the smokie was so salty it was difficult to eat. The bright spot was the service—the person who took our order was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly, which was appreciated. We also stopped by the candy and ice cream parlour next door and got three single scoops, which cost $21. I arrived today to a short line up. Ordered the Big Splash Hamburger with lettuce, onions and tomato. Want cheese? Add $2. (Not today). Does it come with a drink and fries? No They cost extra. That’s how money is made. Burger was pretty much Costco Kirkland burgers. Nice bun, but pretty basic. I ordered onion rings which was super greasy but fried good. I watch two young adults working while waiting for my burger. One girl was filling up dressing into little plastic cups while another was arranging salad. They both looked miserable which made the food miserable.

I ordered here and waited around 40-50 minutes for our food and watched many many people who came before us get their food. The receipt numbers are different for each till,so the staff said that the ticket number wasn't a good way of measuring when your food will come. When I asked what was taking so long, they told us that they were waiting for a restock of hot dogs to come in before handling our order and that I could come later to pick it up. This should bring many red flags about the service here. 1) They sold hot dogs even though they were out of stock. 2) They decided to put aside the order instead of informing the customer that there was no stock. --- I watched my order get covered on their paper list by another order. What can I say... Slides on a hot summer day... So much fun!! Lots of slides so even when busy seems ok. Change rooms are a little small so bring clothes you can easily slip into. Food prices are reasonable as well..
