I normally don’t like to make bad reviews about small businesses but the service was horrible. Our server Sam was drunk and was not taking our order because she was at the bar taking shots. She was slurring her words and stumbling all over the place. Thankfully the other server came and helped us at and mentioned that the drunk girl was the manager.
The waitress was SO nice, but it took 55 minutes to get the food we ordered. That's right, 55 minutes! The waitress said it would be 30 minutes. I've never waited that long at any restaurant before! The $18 chicken salad I ordered was a pile of lettuce with a chopped up chicken strip and a few croutons. Very disappointing. My son was in Challis for a cross country meet. After the meet I went to get him some food. His whole team went to the hot springs, got back on the bus, and left before I could get some fries and chicken strips for him. "Challis time" must mean "inconsiderate of everyone else’s time."
Had the best lunch here with our family. Food was delicious, burgers are incredible, love the fresh cut fries, our kids ate all their food (they never happens!) Beautiful building and had a really sweet waitress.
The place has a good atmosphere, food is okay, but service definitely wasn’t great. I’m not sure if they were understaffed, but it took about five minutes for someone to even acknowledge us to get seated in one of the many open tables. It took another fifteen minutes for someone to grab our drink order (water) that we didn’t get for another ten minutes. At that point the server finally grabbed our order and we waited roughly 45-50 minutes for our food. We ordered a chicken wrap and a burger. We understand that this isn’t a fast food restaurant but I feel that amount of time is a little excessive given that the restaurant wasn’t that busy.
