Such a fantastic experience. The lobster bisque was as advertised. The scallops and duck were cooked to perfection. The tater tots were good, but elevated greatly by the remoulade. The shrimp and grits were everything we wanted it to be, and we had high expectations. The only thing we weren't in love with was the crab rillettes. The crab was good, but i felt the endive overpowered the dish too much. The staff and atmosphere was great.

Chestnut was a divine journey into the culinary delights of Asheville, NC, led by Chef De Cuisine Ashley Helms and her exceptional team. Every dish was an experience with unique combinations of tradition, innovation, and intrigue. The Pimento Cheese Tater Tots were served with a mouth-watering pickled green tomato relish called “Chow Chow”. The panko style, Masago-topped Dynamite Mussels were as revolutionary as they were delicious. The Salmon Picatta, Pecan Crusted Trout, Crow’s Own Shrimp and Grits, and Mole Braised Short Ribs all achieved memorable fusions of textures and flavors. Additionally, each dish was expertly paired with accompanying wine. Concluding with a decadent Maple Blondie Sundae, we were left in awe. Thank you to Chef Ashley, our wonderful server Ely, and the Chestnut T

Chestnut is the restaurant experience I was looking for in Asheville. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming and the food was incredible. I got the cat for your tongue cocktail and the flavors were deliciously intense. The food that was fried came out not greasy, the breading on the fried green tomatoes were flavorful and stayed on the tomatoes (low bar, but an important one). We also got the duck breast and shrimp and grits which were both delicious. Highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Chestnut! The dimmer, more intimate setting was perfect for a nice night out with my partner. Their menu offers something for everyone! The short ribs were amazing and it was a bonus that this restaurant participated in Restaurant Week so we were able to dine at a discount.

I have 1.9 million views of restaurants I've eaten at across the United States and rank in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google. If I could give this place place a 10 out of a five rating score I would. When I tell you every single detail was perfect, it was perfect. A big shout out to Stuart who took care of a very diverse section of customers dining earlier in the evening. What I appreciated about his service as a 66-year-old woman dining by herself on a weekend night is that the level of attention he gave every single table was exactly the same. That doesn't happen often in my experience. His recommendations and the food were exceptional! I left it to the bar to choose the best glass of wine for dinner once again exceptional. The restaurant was gorgeous. The teamwork I saw disp
