Absolutely the real thing just like I remember fish shacks on Long Island years ago! This was my first time to Commander Cody’s and I had an amazing experience. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and I had 2 very large pieces! The pistachio/ricotta cake was incredible. The prices are so reasonable too!The chef and the owner were both very sweet guys. I’ll be back!!
The food here is delicious because it is fresh. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the cakes and salads are great. Just a place that still believes that a quality product is the main driver for business. Bravo to everyone involved.
We ordered Baked Clams (aka stuffies) from Commander Cody’s on Shelter Island and were delicious! They come served in their shell and we just put them on the hot grill for 20 mins. Best beach appetizer!
The food was good. Evrything was tasty. If you are from the Southeast region I would not recommend the crab cakes. Stick to the shrimp or other staples.
Love Commander Cody's! We've been eating there for years and never had a bad meal. Everything is FRESH and cooked on the spot.
