Grumpsters Log Cabins

This is an amazing place! The cabin is lovely (we stated in Cabin 1). It is a quaint cabin that brilliantly utilizes every nook and cranny. It is peaceful and quiet. We saw deer just 10 feet off our porch. We visited downtown shops which are less than a mile away from the cabin. What a restorative place. We will definitely be coming back.

My friends and I met up at this cabin and were very pleasantly surprised by the accommodations! We stayed in Cabin three where there was PLENTY of space, a nice kitchen with an oven and coffee maker, a gas grill we used, and a fireplace. We were very impressed and enjoyed our time!||Rooms: There were two rooms in the basement- one with a full size bed, the other a queen with an adjoining bathroom. On the main level there was a queen room with a jacuzzi and a main bathroom that was separate. The top floor had multiple twin sized beds(i'm sorry, I didn't count!). Very roomy, had a living room space on the main floor and a small area downstairs too.

We had a wonderful and good time. The cabin, furnishings, and surroundings were beautiful. The only thing that we thought could be improved would be a good dusting and more thorough cleaning. Also, the floor on the main level was very creaky and squeaky when walking around. Love the area!

Our family of eight siblings enjoyed staying in the gorgeous Grumpster’s House. To begin with, it was spotless. The home is very unique and beautifully decorated. We loved the many nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, the lovely living room, the wonderful kitchen and the large dining room table where we sat around to eat and play games. We also enjoyed the spacious deck with lights. We were amazed at the wildlife wandering around the yard: the mama deer and her fawn, the family of turkeys with babies; and the ground hog playing peek-a-boo with us was hilarious. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We highly recommend Grumpster’s House!

We loved our stay in Cabin 1. It was clean, comfortable, and located in such a beautiful area. We enjoyed hiking Pikes Peak and Effigy Mounds. Spook Cave was pretty cool too! The kids loved hanging out at the cabin and having bon fires each night. We liked not having to go out to eat for each meal, but did enjoy Backwoods a couple times. The ice cream at Sadie's Sweet Shop was a nice treat after our hikes. The coffee at By The Spoonful was also great. Cheri was so nice to work with. She responded quickly and gave us some great recommendations. The kids loved playing the dollar game. But, my favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching the wildlife! We plan to return!!!
