Our whole group loved this restaurant so much! We were a party of 8 and it took them no time to get us sat & served. We ordered a hand full of the appetizers to start and they were all very good. I had the fish of the day (blackened grouper) and hubs had the fish tacos- both were absolutely perfect. The food and cocktails were all DELICIOUS 😋 and the staff and owner were so sweet and accommodating! It's also perfectly located just a short walk to the pier & some really cute shops. Can't wait to come back and visit. Definitely recommend this spot! 💜💜💜

Visited for my birthday. Had to book via reservation in advance. Great service and good food. The jambalaya was great but did a number on my stomach the next day. The tempura shrimp was good if a bit soggy. I didn’t care for the hush puppies, they were covered with sugar. The fish and chips were great. The drinks (we had the orange and watermelon crushes) were pretty standard. Nice place and they treated me to a free piece of chocolate birthday cake. It was a little on the pricey end however.

High-End Dining: Incredible Food, Inadequate Portions: While I had hoped for a special dining experience with Hook and Vine, the combination of underwhelming portion sizes and high cost left my family and me feeling disappointed. Ultimately, our frustration stems from the disconnect between the premium prices and the portion sizes we received. This review is in no way meant to criticize the restaurant's quality, but rather to point out a clear issue between what folks pay for and what is received. The grilled chicken Caesar wrap I ordered was quite underwhelming. While the flavor of the ingredients was on point—the chicken was cooked well and the dressing had a nice tang—the overall execution was disappointing. The wrap was surprisingly small, and the filling was sparse, leaving it feelin

Our reservations were for 5:30 on valentines, we arrived at 5:25 and were happy to be seated a few minutes early as they were not busy. That’s where the good stops. We finally received our appetizer at 6:20 so almost an hour since we were sat. Our waitress disappeared and we were never checked on aside from us finally asking someone for more bread for our then cold crab dip. We waited some more and finally requested our dinner to go at 7 pm. The manager came over and assured us our meal was next up and offered nothing but a free dessert for our ridiculous wait and frustration. She personally brought us “our meal” and mentioned she threw in a gluten free dessert since we asked for no bread. Thankfully that clued us to check the meals we received because we didn’t ask for no bread. Sure enou

We were a group of 9 friends who met for lunch at the Hook & Vine. This is a nice, cozy restaurant, close to the Bay. It's very popular with the locals as the food is good and the service excellent. We ordered a plate of Devilled Eggs to share and they were quite delicious. For the main entree, I got the Shrimp and Grits (one of my favorite southern dishes), several friends ordered the crab cake platter, a couple got the Jambalaya, and a couple got the Barramundi. The portions are very generous and we enjoyed our selection very much. I have been to this restaurant a few times and wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. 2 Thumbs up.
