Customer Reviews
Really well decorated Italian restaurant in South County. Well known for their Italian food. Service was great! Most of us liked our food. Baked potato was not very flaky. Ordered my ribeye medium rare. It was very well done. They did cook me an entire ribeye for me to take home.
Our service was exceptional. Server Emma did a great job. We do not care for sweet marinara or sweet tomato sauce and the sauce here very much is sweetened. None of the dishes we ordered had much flavor other than sweet (lasagna, shrimp al diavalo and burratta al capprese). But there appeared to be many regulars and this style of Italian sauce is typical for this region (just not the region i grew up in lol) The blood orange old fashioned I ordered though was the bomb!
3 of us stopped in for lunch today. We had the Fettuccini A Mare Monte , Cannelloni , & Fried Chicken Dinner. Had the House Salad with Homemade Italian Dressing to accompany all 3 entrees. All the salads & entrees were very good. All were cooked proper , non were under or over cooked... Perfect... Our server was very polite & pleasant. The time to get our meal was served up promptly.. This dining experience was "Top Notch" .... When it gets warmer , would like to try the outdoor dining area with a fire pit. Really a nice touch...
We stumbled in by accident and I'm so glad we did. The food was really good. The service was excellent, even though they were really busy. Next time, I'm getting dessert because the tiramisu looked incredible.
Been going to Lou and Joe. Baccardis for 40 years. Lou and Joe are brothers. Lou had the place on Magnolia Avenue on the hill called Lou Baccardis. Joe had the rest of the Resteraunt. Lou would sit in the front of the resteraunt at a table and smoke a great big cigar. While greeting patrons. Lou died his dayghter took the resteraunt over. After sometime sho sold to her uncle Joe. Great pizza, homemade crust extra thin. Salads , pasta, sandwiches, everything on menue fresh made to order. First class Five Star! !
