This place is such a gem. Old school Italian vibe but classy. The food is finished table side - soup heated over a flame. Pasta mixed with sauce, heated too, veal same treatment .. etc. It means your food is hot (and not over done, they mastered that) just perfect. John my server was so polite and amazing recommendations. Just awesome. Seriously, what is there not to love?
The funniest thing happened today. I had just wrapped up a meeting down the street and noticed this restaurant on Google Maps. It said it was open from 11 to 10, so I figured I’d stop by for lunch. I walk in, and the place is completely empty. Like, not a single person around. I head to the bar, kind of wondering what’s going on, when this guy—Rick—looks up from his laptop, totally surprised to see me there. He goes, “Uh… we’re actually closed right now. The team’s on their lunch break.” Then he starts giving me a few other restaurant recommendations in the area. I thank him and start heading for the door, and just as I’m about to leave, he calls out, “Hey, do you want to eat what I’m making for the staff?” Had one of my best meals. Made by an amazing, generous and caring soul. Thank
John, our server was a complete gentleman. The fried calamari on flash fried spinach appetizer was cooked to perfection. My wife got the grilled salmon with mushroom risotto and capers. I got the crab stuffed swordfish on flash fried spinach. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Well done, we will definitely be back!
Went with group to presentation. Bread butter and toasted rav and soft drinks was supposed to be served at 6pm start. Went thru the good presentation over at 7ish and learned alot...nothing came. We pre-ordered meals w group and again we're asked at 6 what we choose between 3 items. Our food arrived at 810. No soft drinks were refilled and bread we asked for 3 times and never received. Definitely not excellent service we are use to. Even the presenters left before the food came.
Went here for the first time as part of a work team holiday lunch. The food was very good, as was the ambiance. The service was a little slow, as it was just one server waitigg on 5 or 6 tables. However, I would give it another go as the food was reasonably priced and tasted really good! It had an upscale feel to it, but not pretentious.
