Our server Will was attentive and pleasant, he was knowledgeable about the menu items. We followed his suggestion and got a meat platter. The pulled pork was tender and tasty, the brisket (lean cut) was tasty but a little dry, probably because it was so lean. The star was the St Louis ribs slathered in sweet bbq sauce, they were so tender and so delicious. Our platter came with 2 sides, we got potato salad, again, so fresh and delicious but the side we’d choose again and again is their Mac & cheese! Overall a fantastic spot to grab a bite right outside Busch Stadium.
An authentic place for nice BBQ 🍗 My wife had the „Grilled Cheese Sandwich with brisket - and that was super delicious! I had the St. Louis Ribs & the Brisket. While the taste of the meat was very nice, it was too dry. I expect meat to be juicy, and that was not the case. In addition the „White cheddar cracker mac“ was tasty, yet the pasta was overcooked and therefore too soft. So it is a really nice place for BBQ, with some room for improvement.
Unique authentic St Louis smokehouse right across from Busch Stadium. Informal, casual, and generous portions. Had a full rack (dry rub) w/crispy kale salad and smoked bacon beans. Lots of great squeeze bottle sauces at the table. Delicious! Even the popover was perfect. Make you don't miss this place on your next visit to downtown STL.
Lunch at Smoke & Salt bbq. Best pork had in a while, no sauce needed. Chicken was hopping with the mustard sauce. Brisket perfect TX style, no sauce needed, Dry rubbed st louis style ribs were, dry. Chunky pot salad was good, mac cheese with crackers didn't cut it. Deviled eggs with bacon & pimento cheese were the bomb! Buy the mustard sauce to take home!
Excellent place for BBQ ribs! They were flavorful and fell right off the bone. I recommend ordering them with the dry rub house seasoning so you can try all the tableside sauces
