I am delighted to have accidentally stumbled across this gem. I am drawn to people with creative and passionate minds. I was reading up about this distillery online and the whole philosophy from the owner had me hooked, from wanting to make something spectacular to honoring St. Louis in the name. Then, we met Andrew for the tour. He was funny, engaging, very knowledgeable and creatively passionate about the product and educating others about the process. Hearing about not only the artistry behind the whisky and other spirits but the meticulous science that goes into it was fascinating. We left with several bottles to take home to share the delicious and well made spirits with family and friends.

The tour was intimate, informative and impressive. For the tasting, I had the Knowledge of Good apple brandy, the S.S. Sorghum Whiskey, and the 1804 Missouri Bourbon Whiskey. My wife had the Mind Your Manners gin, Rally Point maple, and the classic Missouri Straight Bourbon Whiskey. We bought a couple of bottles and even a candle with the Mind Your Manners gin scent. This is a must do whether you live in the St. Louis metro area or just visiting. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't judge this book by its cover - there are some top-notch spirits being made here!

We did the tour on Saturday with David, the owner. I liked the idea of hearing straight from the person who had the passion for his livelihood and what brings him joy. It's always better when the owner is giving the tour/backstory as opposed to an employee who was told what to say to be entertaining. David was patient and answered all questions as they came at him. An entrepreneur you could tell he was imaginative in his marketing as well as his spirit making. He was just as patient with the tasting at the end as multiple people went back for additional bottles just as he was about to move on to the next tour. If you're local to St. Louis, I would totally come out to the Friday night events or host an evening social here.

We booked a tour on a whim while passing through St. Louis and I’m glad that we did! This place is amazing. It’s fun, like a mad scientist’s lab. Loads to learn and some really good spirits. They have so many different varieties that I was prepared to be disappointed but quite the opposite—most were highly enjoyable, smooth, and full-bodied. I can’t even fault those that I was not wild about, just a difference in palette. We returned later to purchase some experimental bottles (18 in total) and they’re a lot of fun. We’re keeping a log of our thoughts and favorites. This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in town. Only possible complaint is a rather sad selection of merch. We were really hoping for a hat. But bottles and glasses will have to do.

Tour was short, interesting, and fun! The taste test at the end gave us an opportunity to try some things we might not have otherwise, and we left with several bottles. Definitely worth it, especially if you're an adventurous drinker.
