The Gray Rock Inn

We stayed in room 2 last weekend, Sep.5-7. Our room had a private bathroom which was great! The location and price are both excellent! Highly recommend!

I stayed in room #2, which is the only one in the Inn with its own bathroom. Looking at the state of some of the shared spaces, this was definitely the right choice, and excellent value for money as I found the room to be clean, comfortable and spacious. The location of the Inn also couldn't be better as it's literally next door to some of the best stops in Asheville for food and drinks.||The air conditioner in the room (a window unit) was very loud but I only left it running while I was out, and the room was still pleasantly cool at night with the AC turned off, so this was never an issue. Appreciated the very simple check-in and check-out, clear instructions and communications via the AirBnB app.

I stayed in room 11 July 1-3 2025. It was everything I could hope for for the price. Sink in room, shared bathroom spaces. The room has AC and a TV. The bed was good enough, I wasn't sore the next morning. Walking distance to the main downtown area. would totally stay again.

I joined AirBnB just to stay here, and I'm glad that I did. The rooms are cozy, and the noise level is low despite being near a couple happening places in downtown Asheville. It has reliable wi-fi, but best of all, it is within walking distance of most of Asheville's breweries and bars, as well as several good eating establishments. You'll have to park at a nearby hotel and pay, but what you save more than compensates for that. I have stayed here on several occasions and been thoroughly satisfied every time.
