Bernard Gray Hall Bed and Breakfast

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Bernard Gray Hall. Gloria and Henry are the perfect hosts and made sure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had all the essential amenities. The breakfast spread is huge with eggs to order (really lovely), fruit, coffee, croissants etc. Henry prepared some delicious scones for us on our second day. They have a very friendly and obedient dog, Ginny. We loved petting her and having her around. They also have a couple of cats, but the hosts were kind enough to keep them in the private area of the house as I am scared of cats. We were in town for a wedding and our stay here was incredible! The room was lovely, so cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and filled with good conversation, and the hosts were personable, kind, and helpful! Will definitely be staying here again- thank you so much ☺️

What an absolute gem of a place! The location is perfect, the hosts Gloria and Henry are wonderful people who make you feel at home the moment you arrive. Friendly, open, welcoming - Maritimers especially will feel right at home. Our first evening we spent watching the Leafs playoffs game with Henry while Gloria was reading in her library, occasionally peeking at the tv and chatting with us. They have two shy cats, one absolute cuddle bug of a cat, and the sweetest darling dog lady. Cat and dog lovers will love it here! Breakfast is amazing! I'm not usually a breakfast person (I make up for that later in the day...) but I found myself unable to resist Henry's home made walnut scones. What a treat! Smells of cat odor and musty. Could not stsy even though offered a complimentry night after indicating politely that those staying had to go back to Toronto for work. Ended up staying at the Prince of Wales. My review on booking.com was replied insinuating that i was being shallow and mean spirited, not in the least. I do not make a habit of leaving petty reviews as peoples businesses are impacted. Implying as such seeks to.put the onus on us rather than genuine issues that are present and noted. Please do better for those that choose your premises in the future based on reviews that for some reason do not highlight the issues.

I enjoyed the gracious hospitality at this B&B. Gloria and Henry are such friendly hosts and make their guests feel at home. Henry makes the best breakfast especially the scones. I definitely want to come again!
