Jefferson County Library

Enjoyed thumbing through the collection of fiction & films. It's a small branch that you would expect in any quiet cozy town. Children's rooms are set up and designed especially for smaller smiles making any enticing literature within easy reach. They even have a restroom just for the young reader. There is also a teen room filled with all genres of books that will appeal to all their tastes. If you visit, don't forget to check out the Guinea pig and aquarium!

Amazing staff that truly cares. A plethora of free books to to keep and read. A wonderful children's room for kids to have their own library space. Pre-covid a large computer lab with printing capabilities, and now at present the ability to print wirelessly using a mobile device, including android smartphone. This library is great and even is open Saturdays. We have enjoyed our time here and look forward to visiting whenever we can.

They've gone over-the-top with covid "protection". They've removed their computer lab; will only allow you to visit for 20 minutes max. There's no thanking it through here. We are almost 11 months into the pandemic and Jefferson county has yet to be a "hot" county. Thank that one through.

The Jefferson County R.J. Bailar Public Library is home to much more than just books. During the week (more often in the Summer), there are programs to encourage kids to read, computer gaming days, and much more. This is also a Pokéstop, so Pokémon GO players can read a book while picking up items and looking for those rare pokémon.
