The Finlay House

Stayed here for 2 nights in the Bernard Shaw room. Decor was amazing, the blue and white looks incredible and feels calm and relaxing. The bed was enormous and incredibly comfortable. Also shout out the great water pressure in the shower. Yvonne was a lovely and friendly host. Definitely going to rebooking next time we're in Niagara.

We had a wonderful stay at the Finlay House B&B! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the historic and beautiful downtown area. Our room was comfortable and inviting, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our host, Yvonne. She was beyond welcoming, attentive to every detail, really made us feel at home. Her warmth and hospitality made this a truly unforgettable stay. Breakfast was yummy each morning, and Yvonne went out of her way to accommodate our special dietary needs (I’m a vegetarian, my husband doesn’t eat eggs). We also loved that local products from a lavender farm were used at the Finlay House which made everything smell amazing. Highly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Finlay House Bed and Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality from Yvonne the house manager was exceptional — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, cozy, and full of charm, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Every morning we looked forward to the absolutely delicious breakfasts she prepared — not only beautifully presented but made with care and attention to detail. She also gave us fantastic suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area, including Aura On The Lake, which ended up being one of our favourite dining experiences. Finlay House itself is adorable,

Upon our arrival at Finlay House, we received a warm welcome by Yvonne, the house manager who shared local points of interest and suggestions of places to explore. Our room was beautifully decorated with a en suite bathroom, super cozy bed and fireplace. The house is an easy walk (about 2 blocks) to the bustling downtown of Niagara-on-the-Lake full of shops, restaurants and ice cream. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee and tea on the lovely wrap around porch while breakfast was being prepared. When called to the dining room for breakfast, we were pleasantly greeted with a plate full of eggs, sausage, fruit, pancakes - YUM!!! We look forward to returning for another stay at Finlay House!

What a gem. Perfect walking location to Queen Street and all its shops (2-3 blocks). Short drive to the falls. The rooms were super clean as was the rest of the house. Yvonne made the most wonderful hot breakfasts, plenty of food and delicious. She goes out of here way to provide tips and suggestions for your visit. She greets you and makes you feel comfortable your entire stay. Without Yvonne this is just another B&B, she truly makes this place shine and is the heart of this B&B. Would definitely recommend.
