The House of Elsie

We absolutely loved our stay at House of Elsie! Chrystal and Larry are friendly engaging hosts who immediately make you feel right at home and part of the family. They had lots of good information and recommendations for the area as well. The house is a charming antique with lovely decor, and the room was very comfortable. Chrystal’s breakfasts are also out of this world! Everything is made from scratch from home grown ingredients. We had to go home with a couple of her homemade jams. Thanks Chrystal and Larry for making our stay in Niagara on the Lake a memorable one!

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the House of Elsie. Hosts Chrystal and Larry are so welcoming and gave us some great advice on what to prioritise during our short trip. The cats are adorable and very willing to play! And the home cooked breakfasts are absolutely delicious. My family / friends thoroughly enjoyed the chutneys / jams that Chrystal sells at very affordable prices. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone wishing to support a local business! We had the most magical time at The House of Elsie. It's well located to all the things one might be seeing and doing in the NOTL area, and the room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable. Chrystal and Larry are fantastic hosts, very warm, attentive, and ready to share their stories and passion for the history of the building, the neighbourhood, and the beautiful vintage items they’ve collected and displayed throughout the house. A highlight was Chrystal's demonstration of the super cool gramophone! Chrystal and Larry's thoughtfully crafted breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious (we especially appreciated how willing they were to accommodate one of our dietary needs). Overall, highly recommend The House of Elsie if you're looking for a stay at a B&B that is full of charm, character

· As a group of girls in their thirties, we had such a wonderful stay at The House of Elsie Bed and Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake! The breakfasts Larry and Chrystal made were truly special. The eggs benedict and pancakes were absolutely delicious, the homemade sourdough toast was perfect, and the jams tasted so fresh and special. We also really enjoyed sharing the table and conversation with other guests—it added to the welcoming, home-like feeling. The house itself is full of history and charm. You could spend days enjoying the vintage art and books on property. You can tell that Larry and Chrystal truly care about preserving and sharing their beautiful old home for guests to enjoy. Even the cats, who were a little timid, were so sweet and added a cozy touch to the atmosphere.

The house was incredible, original for the period. Very friendly and welcoming. The room was a really good size and the bed was amazing. I woke up in the morning and thought I was at home, I slept so well. Breakfast was nothing short of fabulous. The hosts were so nice and easy to talk to, they were more like friends when it was time to go.
