We stayed with another couple in July 2014 and Leon made us feel very comfortable. The house is in a great area, very quiet but close to everything you need. We walked the beautiful trail to rent our bikes, restaurants and wineries very close by. Our rooms were very clean and professionally kept. Very comfortable! In the morning Leon had an elaborate gourmet breakfast prepared, which we shared with the other guests in the house. Leon has an incredible collection of antiques and historical artifacts, which added a unique element to our stay.|| It's certainly a happy place!||We've stayed twice this summer because of the unique feel. Would be great to share with a group of friends or even for a family.
We wanted a 2 night stay in a quiet location and this was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Leon, our host, who made us feel so welcome and accommodated all our requirements. Leon has a wealth of knowledge and experiences that he freely shared with us which we found extremely interesting. His collections of maps, books, artifacts, art and music were amazing! This hard working man prepared our breakfast to our taste and we enjoyed his company at the breakfast table. We had the queen room which was spacious with an ensuite. The bed was comfortable, and the large room (and the whole house) was very clean. The location was perfect for what we wanted, biking, touring and dining. Overall, a great place to stay, enhanced by the personable and friendly nature of the owner!
The property is located at a convenient location within Niagara-on-the-Lake, on a quiet small street among other beautiful houses in the area. The premise is spacious, comfortable, and wheelchair accessible. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and one accessible bedroom + accessible ensuite bathroom (roll in shower, grab bars etc.). ||||I was there with my friends (3 couples in total) - it was perfect! We got the entire space.||We got to use the Living Space, where there was a mini bar with a small fridge, comfortable seating with TV, a piano, and some board games. There was also a second Living Space where there was quite a collection of fascinating old book among other very interested antique items, and musical instruments.||||The host, Mr. Leon, is extremely friendly, well-traveled, and k
We had a wedding at a nearby inn for the weekend and booked a room at A Happy place for the Saturday night. ||||The property is located in a really nice and quiet residential neighbourhood. It is a very well maintained and clean property that was recently renovated. The backyard is large and private.||||We had the front room with the private bathroom. It is separate from the other two bedrooms which are located in the back of the home which was nice for privacy. The room was large, bright and clean. There are no TVs but free wifi so we brought our own devices. ||||We met the property owner and the property manager (who lives on site in a separate wing) and both were gracious, hospital and helpful. The owner even drove me to meet up with my friends who were staying at another B&B on
This past weekend we spent a most delightful visit at A Happy Place. It was a surprise get together with my girls to celebrate my daughter’s pregnancy with her first baby. We shared great food, great wine and great company at A Happy Place. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Leon, who met us and gave us a tour of his lovely home. It’s spacious, clean and eclectically decorated with antiquities, interesting books and artwork. We found lots of amenities – cozy beds in spacious bedrooms; lots of towels; big cozy chairs for relaxing, chatting and playing games....a home away from home. In the morning we were greeted with a wonderful breakfast table laden with fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, assorted breads, tea, coffee and juice. Leon’s charm and stories make this a truly memorable place t
