The Old Bank House

We booked a two-night stay to visit the Ice Wine Festival in January. The location is perfect, just a short walk to shops and restaurants, and an even shorter walk to the shoreline, which we had a view of from our room. |The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and we also enjoyed sitting and chatting with the other guests in one of the two dining rooms. Single tables are an option as well if you like to stay quiet in the morning. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. |The common areas of this historic building are filled with artwork, trinkets, memorabilia and the photographer owner’s collection of stunning black and white prints of scenes taken around the area. If you are looking for old world charm in a beautiful setting that is walking distance to a beautiful street with restaurants, shops, and beautifully decorated streets you should try staying here. We traveled with another couple and we all felt the same. The breakfast with 5 choices was freshly cooked and very good. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive. We were so glad we opted to stay here and not in the Falls area hotels. It is only a 25 minute drive to falls but the ride is enjoyable as it is all beautiful homes and vineyards. Very scenic. Research Niagara on the lake for details about the immediate area. Highly recommend!

The Old Bank Inn is located near the shores of the Niagara River and a short walk to the town centre. The hotel is well-furnished and offers an outstanding breakfast with several options to cater to a variety of tastes. The people running the hotel provided excellent service during our stay. We are a retired couple who both have mobility issues and you will be required to climb stairs to enter your sleeping accommodations. There is no elevator. Nevertheless, our stay was made enjoyable by our hosts.

Little bit dated but quaint. No aircon but didn’t need it when we went. Parking available and also on street if car park is full. |Across quiet road from lake and easy walk into centre. Peaceful night’s stay. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast excellent.

The Old Bank House is a unique boutique hotel located near the Niagara River and walking distance to the old town. The hosts are attentive and friendly and the breakfast is hearty and delicious. As a retired couple with mobility issues, we were challenged by the stairs as there is no lift. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful getaway.
