This is one of the most enjoyable experiences that we’ve had. Michael and Annette were very cordial, and they met all of our needs – even my gluten-free diet. The meals were fantastic, and the setting was beautiful. We had breakfast among the flowers and the birds. I’m already looking forward to going back next year.
Annette and Michael were so so kind and welcoming, the accommodations lovely and the breakfasts divine! The backyard garden was super peaceful with a koi pond and two sweet small pups who love being pet. When we ran into a bit of a logistic travel snag, they went above and beyond to help us out. And they even packed a to-go yogurt parfait and delicious home-made rhubarb muffins. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!
We recently spent a week in Niagara On The Lake and stayed at the Twinning Retreat. What a beautiful B & B! Our room was very comfortable, the garden is magical, breakfasts were excellent and our hosts Annette and Michael couldn't have been more welcoming and nicer. I was a bit apprehensive prior to arriving after reading a reviewer's comment on barking dogs, but yes there were 2 small dogs and no, they didn't bark, they loved to be pet but kept to themselves if you were not interested in them. Annette is a fabulous cook and breakfasts were a daily treat. I would love to come back, this was a wonderful B & B!!
My friend and I spent three nights here and loved our stay. Annette and Michael were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was delicious, abundant, and different every morning. The beds and pillows were comfy. The backyard is immaculate. It's a 30-minute walk into the main town, but it's a peaceful walk and we didn't mind the distance. I would definitely stay here again.
The most pleasant and helpful hosts you could ever want. Annette and Michael are a delight. The breakfasts are delicious, beautiful and substantial, complete with homemade preserves and jams, the freshest of seasonal fruits, and treats from crepes to eggs benedict. Every morning is a surprise and a treat. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linens. The neighborhood is a peaceful and beautiful retreat from the hubbub of downtown (during the Shaw Theatre Festival). In nice weather (georgeous when we were there) you dine in the garden. in the most bounteous garden in the city. From lilac and Japanese maple trees to house high rose bushes and all manner of other plantings, you will be enveloped in the best of Niagara-on-the Lake. It is also walking distance of the downtown center if y
