West Gate Bed and Breakfast

This is a wonderful place to stay. Perfect walking distance to the 1000 Island tour, shopping and dining. The room we had was great with a comfy queen size bed and a private bathroom. The host Esther and Bruce make their home your home and you feel like you’ve known them forever. They are so friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to keep our car parked at their home after checkout to go on the boat cruise and save a parking fee. The breakfast they provided in the morning was above par. Fresh fruit, warm muffins freshly baked and many items to choose from. Omelettes, eggs, sausage, pancakes, eggs benedict, toast, jam and juice. They are the friendliest and welcoming people you could ever meet! Thanks again for the great stay!

Wonderful caring hosts and great breakfasts at this small B&B. Just 2 bedrooms which is great! Comfortable Queen bed in our attic room, good sized bathroom with lots of hot water and good water flow in shower. |Steep stairs to the attic which we could manage (we are in our late 70’s). Air conditioning was fine. |Room on lower floor had private bathroom right across from the bedroom with a privacy curtain, so almost like an ensuite! Would stay here again.

I love this B&B! My husband and I stay here every time we visit. As soon as you step in, it feels like home. The hosts are wonderful people who are kind and generous. The rooms are cozy and perfect! I wouldn't change a thing!

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for two nights. The hosts (Bruce & Esther) treated us like old friends. The breakfasts were delicious and the bed so comfortable. This charming B&B within walking distance of the boat dock and restaurants on King street offers just two rooms. We were two couples and booked both rooms. The first room is on the second floor, with a Queen-sized bed and a full bathroom (separate tub and shower) just across the hall. The second room is the attic suite up another stairway on the third floor with a bedroom, sitting area, and bathroom with a large shower, but no bath. ||||Our hosts Esther and Bruce were extremely friendly and personable, and were great with our friends' 2-year old daughter. The website advises to call ahead if you want to stay with children, as they don't provide extra cots, and the stairs could be a hazard if you momentarily lose track of your little one. ||||For breakfast, you will be asked to choose
