Wheel and Anchor Restaurant

Everything was great until they served my butter chicken. The staff was very kind and welcoming. After a long day on the road it was so nice to go to a restaurant. I ordered butter chicken, but there was hardly any chicken in the sauce, just a few tiny pieces. I spoke to the waitress about it and she took it back to the kitchen to top it up. The cook came back with it and explained he had added 2 more pieces, that there are usually 5 pieces but he added 2 more, so there were now 7 pieces. However, each piece was the size of a chicklet. The sauce and naan were good, but I'm still upset about the chicken. Because "pieces" come in many different sizes! My partner's seafood platter was piled high and very good. We made a reservation for 7 people. We were called an hour prior to let us know the chef did not show up & the place was closed. Had to find other accommodations. We had a chance to see inside before we finished our stay in gananoque and very basic, no atmosphere and seating/tables not comfortable and not clean

The kitchen and restaurant staff needs work, the only thing I would eat here is the free breakfast until they get someone who knows how to run a restaurant in hired. But the hotel was good. The ladie at the front desk was polite and room was good. I would definitely stay at the hotel. But pay for any food until they are under new management at the restaurant.

Excellent service, food very good and big portion. We came in 20 People and got the vip like service.

I just stopped in to use the restroom at 9PM literally no one was in there and they turned me away. I wish they had better business practice.
